“Red Tails,” executive produced by Star Wars creator George Lucas, tells the story of the first African American pilots (ages 17-24) to conduct important aerial missions on behalf of the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe.

Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding, Jr. deliver good lines and Ne-Yo adds a hilarious dash of comedy. The best scenes are when the men are in the air, fighting the Nazi’s and escorting bombers across enemy lines. This part of the film is very Star War’s-like and will have you on the edge of your seat! It’s clear Mr. Lucas put a lot of money and time into it.

The 20th Century Fox film stars Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Tristan Wilds, Ne-Yo, Nate
Parker, Method Man and more. In theaters today.
