We were introduced to Tiffany Evans in 2005 in Tyler’s Perry, “Diary of A Mad Black Woman” where she played the adorable daughter of Tyler Perry who wanted to sing in the church choir. Fast forward to 2010 and we’re in the same room at Sister 2 Sister’s 22nd Anniversary party where Matthew Knowles introduced her and she blew the audience away with her huge voice and small frame. Fast forward again to Sunday, July 15th and we’re talking face-to-face at an intimate Tweet & Greet/Listening Party at the World Class Event Center in Atlanta where she discussed her personal life and forthcoming EP, “Take 1.”
Tiffany (who’s also an actress, songwriter and director) is very vocal about her relationship with Christ on Twitter, which is why I was intrigued to interview her. We talked about her new release, but I mainly wanted to know her advice on maintaining a Christ-like lifestyle while having a career in the entertainment industry? “It’s all about keeping Him first and getting guidance from Him. It’s about having a daily relationship with Him and having people around you who build you up to make the right decisions…not ‘yes-men’. It’s all about remaining humble and appreciating every opportunity.”
Currently enjoying married life and making preparation for motherhood, Tiffany Evans is definitely one to keep watching. Check out a few pics from the Tweet & Greet. We love you Tiff!
