JubileeMag.com loves Mali Music. With artists like him, there’s such a greater level of Jesus-music to be created that isn’t traditional or copy-cat secular. When Christan artists step out of the box and tap into the creative power Christ gave us, gospel music will be better respected & received.

Mali Music’s video for his song “The Job Experience” premiered on BET’s 106 & Park last year. The Savannah, Georgia rapper/singer performed during the Music Matters segment of the BET Awards last June, which is when Akon took an immediate interest him. The song tells the story of a father who questions God after his mother is diagnosed with cancer and his wife is shot during a home invasion. “It exposes and directly states the things we all at some point feel and think. That outlet is actually relieving, and I expect it to be appreciated by the gospel audience especially since it all resolves to God’s glory anyway,” he said to Yahoo! Music.

Mali Music also collaborated with Kirk Franklin on his latest project, “Hello Fear”, and they created “Give Me”. It’s also a powerful, passionate, out-of-the-box song we immediately fell love with. Thanks Mali for taking music to the next level as we infiltrate mainstream.
