Recently Pastor Wayne Chaney, Minister and gospel music artist Deitrick Haddon, Pastor Jay Haizlip, Bishop Ron Gibson and Bishop Clarence McClendon stopped in Atlanta for an exclusive press luncheon and sneak peek into the new Oxygen Network docu-series, PREACHER’S OF LA at Do At The View, a hip restaurant in Atlanta that combines the arts, music, food and technology.
The press luncheon was hosted by Praise 102.5’s Darlene McCoy. In attendance were key media outlets, clergy and other special invited guests. Guests ordered food on an iPad and even submitted their questions for the cast on a provided iPad.
After watching a few clips, it’s clear that ‘Preachers of L.A.’ is not like any of the other reality shows based around faith. We get to see what the life a a preacher looks like inside and outside of the pulpit.
This show shows them going to the streets ministering to gang members, healing the sick and even shows what a real love life looks like. Like Pastor Wayne Chaney said on the panel, “We can’t leave it up to Lil Scrappy to show our kids what love looks like!” I totally agree.
Oxygen Media Director of programming, Rod Aissa said he’s pleased to have a show of faith on his network. Don’t miss the premiere of ‘Preachers of L.A.’ on Oxygen beginning October 9 at 10/9c.
