Because A City and It’s Culture Should Never Part…

City of Riverdale Seafood and Music Festival

Join the City of Riverdale this Saturday, August 30th, 2014 from 12:00noon-10:00pm for their 4th annual, “Taste of Riverdale: Seafood and Music Festival” at the Riverdale Town Center located in Riverdale, Georgia. It’s just in time for Labor Day!

The City of Riverdale is packed with history. In 2006, they received a grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission through its Livable Center Initiative (LCI) program to conduct a “Town Center” feasibility study. The study was completed in 2007. As a result, the Riverdale Town Center opened in October 2010. It is located on a parcel on Church Street, that spans over twenty seven acres. The project also included the following entities: Government civic component (Riverdale Centre for the Arts, Business & Leisure Services, a new City Hall, and a Public Plaza/Amphitheater), Mixed-Use Commercial Component, and Residential Housing Component.

The festival is “family friendly” and will feature food demonstrations by Celebrity Chef Sammy Davis, Jr., along with live entertainment and activities for the entire family for an affordable admission cost of $5 per person.

Last night, Mayor Evelyn Wynn-Dixon and the City fo Riverdale Council hosted “Taste of Riverdale,” a private press meetup at the Rivverdale Town Center. The event showcased a preview of featured mouth-watering delectables that will be featured at this year’s festival.
