On Monday, No Losing, Inc. hosted ‘The No “C” Campaign’ end-of-semester celebration at Dave and Busters in Atlanta. The celebration honored 300 students from Martin Luther King, Jr. and Forest Park middle schools that have met the campaign’s challenge, achieving honor roll (all A’s and B’s, no C’s) for the Fall 2014 semester.
Sam Collier, Founder of No Losing Inc., partnered with SESAC and JubileeMag.com to make the celebration possible. Kaleena Harper, member of the hip-hop soul group Diddy-Dirty Money and cast member of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop ATL, also attended to recognize the hard work and commitment of the students.
“The more I work with underprivileged youth, the more I understand the importance of connecting them with examples of success. Having their accomplishment recognized by individuals they look up to like Kaleena gives them something to believe in. Her involvement in this celebration is truly life-changing and uplifting for the kids,” said Collier.
Other spokespersons for the campaign include Micah Kiyo (formerly signed with Atlanta Hip Hop Producer, Jazze Pha), Glo and Activist Fly Musiq, all of which have played a critical role in mentoring the students throughout the academic semester.
In just three short years, ‘The No “C” Campaign’ has impacted more than 70,000 youth in over 20 schools located in low income, urban communities. The campaign aims to empower students to develop a “winning attitude” towards academic performance.
