With an impressive roster of artists like John Legend, Beyonce, Sting, Outkast and more, Patchwerk Recording Studio is a staple in Atlanta. They’ve been at it for 20 years and this Saturday August 1st they’ll celebrate with a 5K Run/Walk.
Former and current Patchwerk recording artists, their families, staff and supporters will be on site to support and participate in the race, along with recollecting and commemorating by sharing their stories, particularly highlighting the influence Patchwerk has had in their lives.
The I Do Music 5K Run/Walk was founded in 2015 to raise awareness and resources for The MusiCares Foundation, which is a financial safety net for music personnel during times of hardship. Concepts for this 3mile race around Atlanta grew out of a celebratory campaign honoring Patchwerk’s 20th anniversary, showcasing the appreciation many have found for the studio through a variety of mediums including a video message montage, photoshoots and interviews, in addition to Patchwerk’s recent feature in the notarized Respect Magazine.
Patchwerk’s main goal is to give back to the industry and the communities that helped shape and propel them into the music monster it is today. Open to all age groups, the race will begin and end at Patchwork Recording Studio in Downton Atlanta.
