Chantae Cann

If you’re not familiar with the angelic voice of Chantae Cann, consider yourself privileged to have come across this post. I’ve been a fan of her’s for a while, so when I received an invite to her album release, I was too excited!

A Chicago native, Chantae Cann has been blessed to travel the world as a background vocalist (10+ years) with the likes of Leon Timbo, Darlene McCoy, P.J. Morton, Gramps Morgan, and Grammy Award winning artist India Arie. She’s had the tremendous honor of collaborating with artists/bands such as, Jonathan McReynolds, Tony Momrelle, Jaspects, The Foreign Exchange, Zo!, Mike Hicks, Sho Baraka and Khari Cabral Simmons.

Chantae is the perfect example of a singer who has taken her gift past the church choir. Her vocal delivery is soothing, sultry and more than just soulful, it’s soul fulfilling. Sparked by the hope that her music awakens purpose, destiny and truth to all who listen, ‘Journey to Golden’ is a true testament of the humble beginnings of one of the greatest voices of this generation.

A blend of soul and jazz with urban flair, Journey to Golden positions Chantae Cann as dominant talent for today’s most avid music fans. The record features guest appearances by Grammy Award winning Jazz Fusion band Snarky Puppy and vocals and musical compositions by Jamie Portee.

Connect with Chantae at ‘Journey To Golden’ is available on iTunes now.
