Last night, Jubilee Mag was invited to a viewing party hosted by Lifetime and V103 at Suite Food Lounge for the premiere of the second season of its hit series “The Rap Game.” Executive producer Jermaine Dupri was on hand to celebrate the show’s debut with over 200 local VIPs, including producer Irv Gotti, Zane (rapper), Algebra Blessett (singer), Erica Dixon (“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”), Miss Mulatto (“The Rap Game” season 1), Mishon (singer), Gary Hayes (“Rickey Smiley Morning Show”), Egypt Sherrod (HGTV), DJ Fadelf, Lovie (“Greenleaf”), singer Brandi Williams (“Blaque”), Shay Johnson (“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”), Diallo Thompson (“Barbershop 3”) and more. Guests danced to sounds by DJ Pnut. V103’s Greg Street hosted a live broadcast leading up to the show’s premiere.
I had a great time, plus JD laid it out with food and drinks for us, (ginger ale for me since I don’t drink).
“The Rap Game” – airing Fridays at 10/9c on Lifetime – will give five emerging young hip hop artists, ages 12 to 16, the opportunity to rhyme and flow with Dupri as he searches for the next big name in hip hop. The show is co-executive produced by Queen Latifah.
