Recently in an interview with New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet, Jay-Z had his first candid discussion about infidelity rumors, how he and Beyonce decided to create Lemonade and 4:44, O.J., Kanye, epiphanies discovered during therapy and so much more.

It’s refershing to see the 21-time Grammy winner in his most rare, vulnerable and transparent state of mind. He really opened up about what all the allusions to cheating and infidelity in his wife’s work meant.

Jay not only admitted to “infidelity,” he revealed that a stint in therapy helped him understand his own behavior. He says talking to a doctor helped him realize he had shut down all his “emotion,” which is what ultimately led to his decision to cheat.
